lamb and pine cone press is dedicated to writing one poem every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and sending that poem, by mail, to the person(s) for which it has been written. These people will include both people that I know and people that I don’t know. (If you received a poem and don’t immediately recognize my name as someone you know, rest assured that you fall into the latter category of people — someone I’ve never met!) The plan is to continue to do this for the entirety of 2009, pending the veracity of a doomsday sign I once saw on a street corner in Toronto.
Poems are written by Geoff Guenther — a 20-something formerly from Victoria, B.C. and now living in Ontario, who, by acknowledging that he sometimes likes to write, has now decided to force himself to do so with this project.
The title — Lamb And Pine Cone Press — is an allusion to Pablo Neruda’s childhood. Neruda thought writing was a gift to others — so hey, great fit here. How clever.
